I have just noticed a new problem -- Installing the latest beta of Canola causes Application Manager to terminate unexpectedly every now and then.

This is consistent with both OS2008 50-2 and 51-3.

Due to problems I was having with Gizmo last night, I reflashed my N800 with 50-2 and Canola was the first app I installed. Without other installs, just browsing the various apps available for download, Application Manager closed unexpectedly. Nothing critical, just that it shuts down

Same problem just happened, after my install of 50-3, I'm getting the same Application Manager shutdowns even with no other apps or repos installed.

In both instances, the tablet was rebooted after installation of Canola.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

Hi Ghoonk,

This is the same instalation problem everyone had (after the installation on beta 1 that was really a repository down problem)

We thought that this could be caused by canola, but it seems to be a failure in application manager, for applications like canola etc.

We are trying to nail down the problem but it seems that is not that easy traceable and most of the users are not linux/command line savvy to help us with that.

I have been flashing installing and sometimes it happens sometimes don't... : /
we really need help on this :/

Okay, understood. It's more an inconvenience than anything, since it doesn't appear to break anything else. Any idea what is causing Application Manager to fail?

Not stills, it seems that maybe it's breaking with too many dependencies? but even that should be " always" to be treated as bug, the thing seems a combination of factors.. maybe also one or other packages that comes corrupted form the network...: /
