No, and indeed you shouldn't. Backup/restore from 07 to 08 is risky at best, and pointless in many cases (including a factory device).

Here's my question.
I am going to upgrade to the OS2008 as soon as I recieve my N800, since it will be brand new do I still have to backup the files before installing the new firmware?
