SOrry for the Newbie ? but how do I install apps to my internal 8GB SD card? I don't see any options to do so.

jcj7161 - out of the box you can't: The cards are mounted so-called "no-exec", which means that applications installed there can't be executed (with an exception for scripts, which can be semi-tricked into running). But is there a need? The internal flash filesystem is a compressed file system, it has much much more room than you may think. I've installed lots of applications and I'm not even close to filling it. What you should do instead is to keep large data files on the SD card.

If you really need to then it's possible to install applications on the card, one way is to change everything to boot from the card. Do the search through the link posted by the previous poster.

Did anyone took a look at minifo (fs overlay).?

that would be a neat way to expand the internal card memory.

as a bonus, removing the card and have back your original install, also there will be no writing to the that jffs partition

EDIT: if anyone is interested i could try to port it, just that i wouldn't do it alone >:-)
