this new version should greatly help those who encounter problems configuring gnokii for phonelink : no more file editing needed !
Simply go to control panel and describe your phone (BT Address and model) you can even ask gnokii to identify your phone for you !

Please give it a try and tell me ...

Doesn't work here on E51 & N810, the error I get is: gn_gsm_initialize failed on "Identify phone". It appears as an information note. Any tips on fixing this or do I just have a too new phone?

Sorry about that Gnokii-GConf 0.5.3 is out and should correct your problem (if it doesn't, try changing rfcomm channel to 1)

Already had the correct bluetooth address in the dialog . But thanks anyway. Gotta try the newest Gnokii-GConf and see if it works.

Well I tried the newest too, I still get the gn_gsm_initialize, but with a touch: "Unknown error, well better than nothing" . I changed the rfcomm address as well but I didn't notice any change in the configuration/functionality in phonelink.

Is E51 a Symbian S60 3rd gen phone ?
if so, you're out of luck : Gnokii supports only 2nd gen S60 phone through GNApplet ...
