I searched through the forums and I found out that through about:config you could change the default text size. The problem is that doing this everytime is very annoying, so after tinkering around I found a really easy way to change the font size on demand.

First make sure that you've followed the instructions on how to set a new default font size. If you've allready set the default font size scroll down to "Create Shortcuts"

PART 1: How to set Default Font Size
Step 1: Empty your cache.
Go to the context menu -> Tools -> Clear -> Cache.
When it asks to clear all cache details click OK.
If your browser's cache is not empty it will take forever to load Step 2.

Step 2: Enter in your address bar: about:config

Step 3: At the top of the page where it says NAME, enter:
font.minimum-size.x-western
Then where it says value enter: 16

Press: Set Preference.
That is it for the first part.

PART 2: Create Shortcuts
Step 1: Open the Bookmarks manager and create a new folder called "font size" or whatever you like.

Step 2: On the context menu choose:
Bookmark -> New -> Bookmark

Step 3: On Name enter: Font 24 and on Address enter:
about:config?prefname=font.minimum-size.x-western&prefvalue=24
Choose the folder created on Step 1 of this part and press OK.

That is it! Repeat Part 2 steps 1 through 3 as many times as you want just changing the name of the bookmark to Font 16, or whatever you like and also change the default value on Step 3 on the address bar after prefvalue

Ex:
Name: Font 32
Address: about:config?prefname=font.minimum-size.x-western&prefvalue=32

Name: Font 16
Address: about:config?prefname=font.minimum-size.x-western&prefvalue=16

Warning: If you've browsed a lot be sure to empty your cache once in a while to prevent your browsing from hanging.

Hope you find it usefull.
Greetings from Guatemala!

I forgot to add, now everytime you want to change font size you just select the bookmark of the font size you want.

tarkam, I was already doing this; then my browser crashed and I had to re-do it. It sure was easy because of your exceptionally clear instructions. I really appreciate it.

Greetings to Guatemala!

Thanks!

Wouldn't make shortcut be the only (technically) required step? Also, I take it the other fonts i've seen suggested, rarely come up?
