Can't thank you enough for quick response. Did try the second option with no luck, though.

I have just received my Nokia internet tablet 810 model. To be honest, one of the biggest reasons for buying it was to use skype telephony, and I understood that to be already installed on the device. When I click 'SKYPE' on the programs menu, it then offers me an option box to "Install SKYPE?" - and I click OK. Application manager then appears to undergo a small download (that might be from the device itself, though I am connected to a network). The I'm asked: "install application?" with further info that it's skype 1.7.62.51.1 4.5MB - I again click OK, then I'm stuck. The device shows a dialog box: "Unable to install skype. Some packages required for the installation are missing."
From here I took what I thought should be the next step - to go onto the internet and installed Nokia Internet tablet software Wizard. I have it installed, I go through the instructions there. And though I see the USB icon in the top right of the device's display (after switching it on while holding swap button) - the PC software fails to find the device. I have installed Microsoft's .NET 2.0 software, so that's not the issue.
Anyway, just my luck. The application I really want to use right away on the tablet is hopelessly not working, even though it's supposed to be quitre integral and pre-installed. A bummer.

THANK YOU.
