pixelseventy2, GeraldKo:
I pick the 'offline mode' as an example of what one can do in the 'device mode' dialog. Of the 4 available actions, I find myself doing 'lock touch screen and keys' a lot thru out the day, so I am hoping I would do it from the touch screen, instead of keep hitting the power button.
thanks,
Cheve

The Following User Says Thank You to Benson For This Useful Post: | ||
Does anyone know how to launch the 'device mode' dialog where you could select 'offline mode', 'lock screen' and etc? I would like to be able to call up this dialog box without pressing the power on button. The reason is that I want to disconnect my wifi connection while I am not using it.(I guess by
taking it offline, I would also extend the battery life.) Anyway, the power on button is actually rather small and hard to get at(I understand the reasoning behind this design), so I am hoping to find a way to be able to launch the dialog box using the touch screen interface(or a script when I can put into a script/command launcher such as load-applet) instead.
I have a N800 with the lastest OS2008(and 16+4GB of sdhc).
thanks,
cheve
