I've had ssh up for update for a while but when I try it tells me that ssh common is missing (or something) and refuses to do the update.

Yes, I searched and found nothing on the subject.

what I have works but I'm wondering why common would be missing or not available if the other elemets are?!?

Thanks!

Hey I think I might know your problem;

I'm assuming your using OpenSSH which is probably the SSH app you all use on them internet tablets but I don't have one yet so I don't know. Anyways check out this Post. Apparently the app manager's dependency logic is incorrect or smthng so it acts like openssh-common isn't installed.

Hope this helps

You can uninstall and reinstall to fix the broken dependancies. Also using the meta-openssh package as opposed to the individual openssh-server and client packages appears to make it worse.
