Is anyone using Orb to stream media from their PC to their internet tablet? Is so are you getting alot of noise when streaming video files? I am using it to stream media, and its working fine for pictures and MP3's, but i am getting a hell of a lot of noise on video files. Is there anyway to clean this up? Also, is there any other similar software i could use to stream media to my N800? thanks.

Try changing around the streaming rate, I think 200kbps works good if I recall correctly. You could also download Tversity, which is an excellent media server.

Wasn't there some special Orb version available?

Did anyone else have a problem with low volume while steaming video?

Is there a way to make Mplayer the default media player while watching steaming video?

I use orb and it work pretty good except for the low volume on streaming video. I'm not using any special edition orb just the latest version.

Well, there's a page specific to the n800, but I think it's the EXACT same as other orb versions.

Underscore, agreed.

orb just seems to be a program for the computer, it just takes you to the normal download page.

I run Orb, the stream is pretty good, not great, slightly lower volume for me on video, but nice that you don't have to bother w/ conversion etc. Not getting a lot of noise though so maybe it's your settings.

Naa, its not the same - at least its older than the latest one.

No, serious - i think the N800 version is using 400x240.

Yea, when comparing the quality of the streams on my n800 to those on my pc, the resolution is way different. I think Bundyo's right. Though, I'm not sure about something: does the Orb website automatically detect the device we're using and change the quality of the stream accordingly?
