I don't seem to be able to save anything from the web browser anymore. I get the error message "Not allowed".

What happened? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Leke;

A bit more info, please. Diablo or Chinook? Are you trying to save a page or copy a link? Let us know and we will see if we can reproduce the error.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi, its Chinook and I can't save anything to my 2nd MC.
The drive itself isn't read only, although for some reason, some files I downloaded on the drive are read only. I can't figure out how to change the status because the Read only check box is greyed out for the files.
As for not being to save anyhing, I have no idea.

I think your card has a corrupted file. See whether you can write anything to it. Likely it is readonly. Several things can cause that problem, one of them is a corrupted swap file. Try to delete that, your card will then be able to write. Post back if you cannot delete the swap file or if any problem.

i couldn'd figure out how to delete the swap so i copied my data (minus the the suspected bad folder) and formated the card . It seems ok.
thanks.

I am glad it is ok now. There are many ways to delete the swap file, and I do not want to go in further without knowing that is the source of the problem. The usual way to delete swap file is Control panel>Memory>Virtual memory and uncheck swap and the swap file will go away.
