First, some information. I have had my N810 since November, with an 8gb miniSD card, that is mostly filled with music (and now Debian, but more on that later in the post).

I was reluctant to upgrade to Diablo, although it seemed to go very well (I am a user, not a developer or an advanced user, and not very familiar with Linux). I did some cursory testing after install, and did not find anything that seemed to be a problem, but did not test everything.

I had been following the threads on Debian and decided to try that, since I wanted ABIword and OpenOffice and the install seemed simple enough and seemed easier than KDE installation. I tested those apps once Debian installed and was pleased. I did note that some of my windows would open on the edges of my screen instead of in the middle, but that was ok, since I could still use them or move them.

I found that Canola was not displaying text, but followed the posts to get that figured out.

I use my IT for GPS more than anything else. Before I installed Diablo, I didn't have the long 'fix' times I had seen others complain about, but did note that 'fix' times were faster with Diablo.

The problem I have with the Wayfinder Map program is that when I try to do an address search now, the process crashes. I start entering in street information and during its search for the street name the Map program exits.

My questions are these: 1) is anyone else getting this with there unit? 2) should I de-install Debian, or downgrade to Chinook, or both? 3) If I should de-install Debian, how do I do it? (I am just a user mostly, but can follow instruction and am relatively good at figuring things out) 4) If I need to downgrade, how do I do that?

Any input is appreciated. I did search the threads for the Wayfinder problem and didn't find it anywhere.

UPDATE: Removed Debian and rebooted. Still having the same problem with Wayfinder Map. Whenever I try to enter an address, the process quits and dumps me out. I un-installed A-GPS. Problem still there. Not sure if it was the Diablo upgrade or maybe something else. Map worked well until I upgraded to Diablo.

Anyone got any thoughts on this? Anything help is appreciated

SOLVED - UPDATE - found that the internal memory was corrupted. Saved what I could, and formatted the internal drive. Copied the Map folders back and map functions correctly now. Had to re-download a couple maps, but other than that everything is good.

search for the thread about how to simply downgrade to the chinook version of the wayfinder app but still be running diablo this is what i did so i can keep using the wayfinder crack and get unlimited free trials. this may work for you. if you need i could email you the .deb for the previous version of the map app. all you would do is uninstall Map form the application manager and install this one from the file. just be careful on your upgrade tabe so you dont update it.
