You update the N810 OS by using a PC either running windows or linux or using a Mac.

When I put in the WLAN ID in the box in that site, then click SEND, the reply coms back, "Product ID not valid. Please re-enter the 12-digit code." I think this unit is some kind of protptype. I can't return it, so I would like to beable to use it. Any Ideas?

I think you can use a linux PC for the flasher and ask someone to send you an image they have downloaded. Anyway the image is supposed "open" anyway.

was it one of the Wimax demo's that where floating around?

Maybe contact Nokia and see what they have to say if it truly has no ID number

I guess I will have to ask around and find someone who runs linux. It definately won't work on a PC. Thanks

It has an ID number. It's just that it doesn't work to download the new OS.
