Usually, in an emulator, u can save states to keep the progress. How do you save states on VGBA 3.5? I tried the games and exited and none of them saved.

It's in the menu... the option's called "Freeze state"

The game state can then be restored by selecting the menu option "restore state"

How do you access the menu? Theres the colored game screen and the rest is black.

the menu key might be a good place to start. Its under the D-Pad on the N810, not sure where on the N800. Or go back to window mode and click the title.

The menu key won't work for me in VGBA... click the fullscreen button to exit out of fullscreen then tap on the downward facing triangle next to the title to open the menu.
