It would actually help if you'd explain your problem and elaborate instead.

Sorry-like I said I'm an idiot (that and freaked over this bricked device)
No cell phone
N800 os2008 flashed from the windows machine
apps Ive added:
garnet palm
egg timer
status bar clock
gizmo (if I can find a way to dial sans cellie)
skype (How do these things work?}
yellownotes
First thing:
yellownotes stopped working
then eggtimer ceased to respond
Came out of garnet and all apps on desktop were gone.
throughout all this I've been receiving a browser esd message
My usual fix for the browser thing -reboot browser -I did and now I get the nokia chime and 1-6 sec of desktop then reboot!
if I take out the battery I get a reboot or not but it ends up eith a black screen with a white battery icon which reads "battery charging" or "battery charged unplug to save energy(or electricity?)"
I used search and read about endless reboot is that whats wrong? Also read about lifeguard -too much techno gobbledy gook- need a step by step -see Spot jump see Dick run for that.
thanx again
ken

It looks like something was corrupted and now the N800 needs to be flashed again.
You don't have to many apps installed so that would be a plus!
After flashing the device just add back your apps.

If you have any problem after flashing, we here will try to help.

Read this from your PC you will find many answers in there including "how to update firmware (i.e. flashing new firmware)":

Err, no. Titles and positions don't tell anything about knowledge. There's lots of people around here for a much longer time that have more wisdom.

> Also read about lifeguard -too much techno gobbledy gook-

And these are sentences I don't get, even when reading them twice. In general, I'd also recommend reflashing, but this will mean that you may lose personal data. See https://wiki.maemo.org/Upgrading_tablet_OS for general information on flashing.

'Dre,
Sorry for the incoherent sentences. I've only had this thing for a week or so-came to me hard earned and I was freaked that I had allready broken it. I found thru searching people talking about "Lifeguard" a failsafe setting or such but I couldn't make heads nor tails of how to do it.I ended up reflashing (I DO know how to do that!) Only lost our stores inventory and this weeks order-couple five hours work-no biggie in the grand scheme of things. I don't think I'll reload taskbar clock, have heard that it can cause problems. Anyway I'm off to search for a dumbed down tutorial on how to format sd cards to boot off and use as swap file
thanx,
kdub
