I flashed to the latest edition of 2006 and went to configure my 'presence'. Unfortunately I entered my password wrong and authentication failed. I edited the account profile with the proper password, tried again, and got the same thing. I then deleted the account profile and created a new one, same thing. Making a new profile for an alternate account worked.

I think Mistral isn't updating the acct info and is storing acct profiles even if they're deleted.

Before I file a bug report, can someone confirm? Also, where in the filesystem is this info stored?

You're not alone, Hedgecore. Same problem here...

I had been using GTalk fine on the Beta 2006, but I also accidentally put in the wrong password on the final 2006. Now I can't logon, even though I have changed the password to the correct one...

i would also like to know where the files are kept, that way I can just hopefully delete a pref file...

I made a hit and run connection on the way to work this morning and it connected. (This was after several random reboots, only one of them natural on my part). I'm 99% sure it used my hedgecore email address as opposed to the firstname.lastname one I used to test.

Either way, works now.
