I've been having problem with Canola lately where it can not index even half the songs on my N810 and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it either. On the other hand the built-in player gets all the songs fine.
Does anyone have any solutions to this problem (except using the built in player)
Yes, what is propably happening is that the scanner (when adding the songs to database) it's breaking, thus half of the song are out. What would help it would be to find out what file / folder it is stopping at, and then if possible send us the file that break the scanner, because we probably have a bug with that kind of file.
So what we do here :
a) we remove all the folders from the media library, and then add folder by folder..
checking if the music still there. when it stop addings..that particular folder breaks the scanner.
b) removes the other folders, leave only that folder, and start removing files until the other appears.
Then you know what file was "breaking" the scanner.
So, this is a lot of work, but without your media we cannot test it :/ so if you could do it for us it would be great.
