I, too downloaded openvpn from the site named in the ApplicationCatalog2006. The application manager says that the package isn't supported. The log file says
Package must have "Section: user/FOO" to be considered compatible.
What in the world does that mean?

Try enabling the 'red pill mode' in application manager.
Thanks,
