presently i have no menu for mplayer-how do get mplayer to display its menu

this is to control various settings such as volume

It appears when you press the menu hardware key.

ok found menu key -but does not open menu-does mplayer need to be configureed to do so ed

also you can use shortcut buttons to control subtitle delay etc.
