Hi, what about trying to be a bit more strict these days about the location of threads? It will help finding the right posts and following the right threads, also (or specially) for the many newcomers and guests we are having now.

N900 forum for posts (mainly about) the device, it's capabilities, business stuff related to them...

Maemo 5 forum for posts (mainly about) the operating system.

Applications forum already for posts about Maemo 5 apps? If you think it's better to wait until real users get their hands on them then let's have them under Maemo 5 still.

Development forum for any development related stuff (Debian packages, APIs, SDK, etc)

General only for general topics not fitting in any of these forums.

Can the moderators put the current threads in the right places and can everybody help the creators of new threads to post them in the right place? Thank you!

PS: Yes, you can blame me for starting yesterday the Maemo 5 / N900 announcement thread in General.

Quim I think the "problem" is the same one the Nokia 5800 had, that of so many new things all appearing in one package. The 5800 was the first S60 touchscreen, first S60 5th Edition, and a new phone in itself, so of couse discussions about it went all over the place.

The N900 is the first truly new Maemo device in several years, it's the first Maemo 5 device, it's the first Maemo phone, it's the first Nokia Linux phone, it's the first Nokia phone with such powerful hardware etc etc.

Once we see more Maemo 5 devices appearing (next year?) the discussions should start splitting off into their natural homes.
