This is an app I've dreamed of having for a long gime, ever since noticing how hard it is to use Linux in the car... while driving

It would be an easy way to control the Nokia using just one, or two buttons, or audio input, maybe you could tap on the nokia with your finger, and the microphone pics it up. You'd get feedback through audio.

Here's a bit of wishful thinking scenario:

You are walking around town, or driving, and have your earplugs connected to the nokia, then by pressing just one button on the nokia, you enter the main menu, and hear it (using flite?/pre recorded samples). You would hear something: "Main Menu...., and after a while you would hear the main menu items, for instance "press twice for music menu", 3, for internet menu, 4 for this and that.. etc.. so i press the same button twice and it enters the music menu, "Music Menu...".. and so after a bit of clicking, I successfully start the music, or another series of clicking allows me to scan for wlan networks, try to connect to one, connect, get my mail, have it read out, etc etc, all without taking my eyes off the road.

I bet there are such apps for blind people, but I havn't found any yet, or perhaps not searched well enough.

Some python scripting + flite would probably go along way. Anyone here interested in this? I'm not able to program/script well enough for this unfortunately =(
