Except from the Microphone problem I decided to make a poll about the A-GPS too. So if you OWN n900 vote, please

Havne't tried, never having used GPS in either of my previous phones. Do you want me to test GPS or a-GPS? (If I were to use it, it would be GPS alone, anyway)

Will need to wait a few - I'm inside a granite house and not going out to wait for a GPS lock as it's hissing down out there.

Classically GPS doesn't work at all indoors, much less in a granite house. You might still be able to get a position based on cell triangulation, but it would be less precise.

Also, just for sake of curiosity, why would you not by trying a-GPS? No data connection?

Precisely. I know there's a connection via a-gps here... though I've not tried in on n900. I will go out to walk the dog in a while, and I'll test it then. There's really not much point in testing indoors.

my gps locks-on in about 4sec within my home, no way it did this before on my n97 or n96 or n958gb or n95

your hardware is crap send it back

Mine has a global positioning problem in so much as it's not yet positioned within my reach. Biggest problem with the device so far for me
