When I call someone and he is talking on his phone it just displays call waiting but I don't hear any sound (like other phones). The same thing happens when the call is on hold it just says on hold. But when I talk I can't see this and it is not very convenient. Is it possible to hear sound like a beep or something?

I would love to have this resolved as well. Very annoying. Missed a call from a building inspector this morning because I was on the other line. Now I have to wait another day.
I know everybody is saying this is not a phone, but we all bought it as a phone as well. I am ready to get my E65 back out. Love the N900, don't get me wrong, but it is pretty useless for somebody who relys on a cell phone.
