I've been playing around with my n900 the past couple of days...trying out apps, changing settings, etc...But today I was shocked to find that I now have noticable visual tearing when doing a horizontal scroll through my desktops. Has anybody encountered this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Yes, it has always been present for me. I think it isn't as visible with the stock "blackish" background though, so if you recently changed backgrounds that might be your reason for discovering it only now.

Is what you are referring to something like static when changing? Has always been there for me but I seem much more used to it now. Quite disappointed that they couldn't not get the desktop scrolling to be very smooth. Would have thought they would have given this alot of attention since the switching between desk tops is the first thing you would want to show off to a potential customer or friend.

Thanks for your responses!

@ jaysire: Yes, you guessed quite right that I changed my backgrounds. So I suppose I have to find one where the tearing isn't as noticeable...

@etuoyo: Yes, the static is exactly to what I am referring to. I guess I didn't notice it the first few days because I was so busy trying things out and changing settings in the menu (didn't scroll very much between desktops during that time). I hope this gets fixed in an update soon because like you I feel this is one of the first things I would show someone on this phone...
