The media player does need some work and gapless should be pretty high up the list of features to implement - crossfading of tracks would be cool too. Any Rockbox devs out there?

I built Rockbox for N900, it works but slow on playback.

I'm studying how that can be improved. After performance is acceptable, Rockbox will be hildonized
I do miss such a feature a lot, as I like to listen to audiobooks when going to sleep and it's very important to set a time, when either the media player should switch itself off.
The LCG Player on my N97 has this function and I love it.
My guess is, that it can't possibly be soo difficult to implement a function like this, can it ?
On another note: Would it be possible to implement "gapless play" into the media N900 player ? This would tremendously enhance the pleasure of listening to live albums.
