I have a generic suction-cup mounted friction holder for my N810 in the car. Well, at this point, the suction cup is...well, not sucking. It falls off the window, generally at the worst of times, like in Beltway traffic.

I was looking at the ProClip rigs, and was wondering what folks here thought of them. They are a lot more expensive than the generic ones, and I was wondering how well they worked.

Unfortunately, the car mount with the swivel head seems to be generic, from the picture. The first two I looked at were questionable with the N810. In the case of the first, the car mount portion sits over a vent and one of the climate control knobs. The second sits on the console next to the shifter. This would be fine for a Blackberry or something which is a "vertical" or portrait form factor, but the N810 is landscape, and I am worried about it interfering with the shifter. (I have a manual transmission.) Unfortunately, the information and pictures on the website for the swivel mount car mount depict a generic car, so I can't be sure how it will fit in my car.

My other concern is that I don't like the N810 mounting kit, because it holds the device open (keyboard exposed). Will the N810 fit in an N800 mounting kit?

My final question is whether or not I need two swivels. They have a swivel on the car piece and a swivel on the N8x0 mounting piece. Do I really need both?

Can anyone give me any feedback on these kits and/or provide any guidance on the questions above?

Thanks,

You might try contacting ThoughtFix. He has used ProClip mounts for a few Internet Tablets including the N810.
