Its just so flipping laggy no?

It takes ages to load, and once in aMSN its just long and really slow. Seems like a really full on app.

Anyone having the same issues?

Also, is Pidgin any good as a MSN client?

!!!PLEASE do not post extras-devel links without making aware of its DANGER!!!

extras-devel is not meant for regular users, the install-files are not "/OPT"ified yet. they may freeze/brake/dry your operating system!

IMO aMSN is pretty much the desktop experience on MSN but very slow to launch, works ok once is up and running. If you plan to have it open all the time is not bad.
Pidgin is lighter, faster and still has a lot of settings, but less than aMSN. I use Pidgin a lot and think is a very good app.
Haze and Butterfly are buggy at least to my experience. They connect right away on WiFi but once I leave my office and go on EDGE both of the will disconnect and will never connect again unless I reboot the phone. For me these plug ins have not been reliable at all but is just my experience, maybe is human error.
Hope it helps..

I find that aMSN reboots the N900 when you try to configure the camera.

I can't scroll in aMsn and it doesn't respond very good when touching the touchscreen.

Use Pidgin, it works good and feels fast and responsive. It could use vibrate alert when a message is received but overall a good application
