I have a volume control bar in my application and I want it to be synchronized with the system volume. I found somewhere about using gconftool with /apps/osso/sound/system_volume but that didn't work. Then I use amixer with -Dhw:0 and "HP DAC Playback Volume". This worked fine but only if the system volume control bar (on the top bar) is not muted. Are there other ways or I missed something?
