Just get an adapter that goes from the RCAs included with the phone to the VGA. So google RCA to VGA. I'm sure they have something online or maybe even at radioshack.

As far as I have understood such conversion is not possible with a simple cable. You have to get a real converter like this one:

Yes, filologen is correct. You need one of those boxes. The simple wire is for the OTHER way around (VGA -> Composite). However, most projectors I have seen have Composite, so maybe you don't even need it?

If the output is limited to 480p, no matter how you convert the signal, you probably wouldn't be presenting anything I care to see...
Plus, wouldn't having a bulky converter take away the coolness of presenting with your phone? That IS what you're after, no?

Is there any way I can use a N900 to display presentation slides (PDF) to an external projector? The projectors at most universities I would have to use have only VGA output accessible (often via a cable that pops up at the speaker's table).
It would be so great if I would not have to bring my laptop and could use the N900 instead.
