OK, this desktop widget is basically big battery that shows the current battery level. I got the idea from joppu's post. I programmed the widget and joppu made the graphics for it. I think that some people find this very useful.

The widget is available in Extras-devel (just search "battery"). The current version of Battery is 0.2.

Hi TOm, was about to install and i saw how huuuuge it was (Or am i thinking of a different battery widget?! - possibly) - anyway... is it optified?

Battery itself requires 116kB of device memory, but seems to require some other stuff to be installed also, but in my case those was already installed.

It looks really big on the screenshot, can you make a small version?

Does it use the voltage or the percent?

Can/will it use battery voltage so it will show charge progress as well? Option?

This widget incorrectly shows percentage.
After my battery is full recharged, it only show 89%, sometimes 92%.
Has anyone this issue too?

The battery never gets fully charged. Try to compare with the command "lshal|grep bat" in x-term.

works, shows same % as desktop command widget, but i prefer this!! nice

Nice but it's way too big.

btw. Is it possible to make percentage indicator on "taskbar", next to battery level like Iphone has?
