Hi,

My microphone on n900 works well with video recording, gsm calls and gtalk-over-wifi.

But there seems to be an issue with it when I use SIP. I can hear the person on the other end but my voice is not transmitted.

I have tried with my accounts in actionvoip.com and freecall.com (voiparound.com). I can make and receive calls with both of them but my voice is never heard on the other end.

Please let me know if u have a fix for this.

Rohit

Well actually, it's apparently fixed and is coming in the telepathy-sofiasip 0.5.19-0maemo3.

PR1.2 i hope... or in the meantime (argh, i bought the phone for this feature :P !)

Thanks for your quick reply R-R.

I checked out the issue @ https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6936
Here...atleast both parties are able to hear/talk..even though the clarity is poor.

In my case I am not being heard at all...its like being on mute right from the start of the call.

Anyways I have voted and added my comments to this issue.

Omkar...did u try making a call? Was the person on the other end able to hear you?

Mine is completely on mute when I make a sip call.

I tried changing the transport to udp...still no luck.

It doesnt seem to be a hardware issue as the mic works otherwise. Also my firmware is updated to use the latest one.

Somethings not right...as it works for you but not me.
