Does anyone know if the new Flash Player 9 for Linux will just install on the 770, or is there something that needs tweaking? Obviously Flash 9 for 770 would be a massive breakthrough for the 770, finally allowing web-browsing multimedia.

No no no no no.

This is a binary install of Flash 9 for x86. There's no way this will work on an N800 or 770 without Adobe/Nokia recompiling it.

its also apparently even more work than recompiling. the flash player does fancy code generating things as it runs which would need to be rewritten for a new architecture.

Ah, that's a shame. The Nokia would be a great device for watching web based media like local TV news, which all seems to be Flash 9.
