I have added a package to extras-devel called "freemoe" which is a set of scripts I use which are handy. They all have the freemoe-* prefix, so you can just type "freemoe-" and hit <tab><tab> and you'll see all the scripts it installs.

http://maemo.org/packages/view/freemoe/

You can git clone from http://gitorious.org/freemoe it thusly:
Code:
git clone git://gitorious.org/freemoe/freemoe.git

Here's a list of the scripts, in case anyone (else ) is curious:

Thanks.
I've seen -o dir::cache=/home/user/MyDocs/.apt-archive-cache in a lot of apt-get commands.
Normally, you can this in /et/apt.conf.d/42cache (or whatever)
Dir::Cache::archives=/home/user/MyDocs/.apt-archive-cache
And then it should be the default archive cache dir

Thanks..
So just type apt-get clean into xterm and it will work? Do I have to specify a file?

`apt-get clean` when run as root will clear out the apt-cache (e.g. downloaded .debs).
