Nokia N900

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to increase the framerate of video playback?

Ive got a couple of 700ish MB videos id like to watch on the TV via the TV-out on N900.

However the framerate is OK, but could be better.

Any thoughts?

Ive installed the extra codecs from the app manager.

Install mplayer and SiB gui frontend. It plays a lot smoother.
Search for sib in this forum. Mplayer can be installed from HAM.

Is the SiB gui available for 2008?

avi with xvid packed bframes pretty much play at half framerate or something. Packed bframes are a nonstandard trick to make b frames work with crappy dshow decoders. There's even a warning about them, that hw decoders might not be able to cope with them...

KMplayer is pretty much the same thing. Just a different look / features.
I prefer SiB due to its simple interface and easy selection of videos.

I don't believe SiB is available for OS2008. It was made for N900 to begin with.
