Hi all, just got the N900 today (wicked phone ) . I am on Orange Uk and I cant seem to connect to the internet reliably, it goes off after a few seconds. I tried the chip in my old phone and it works fine. Customer service werent very helpful saying that "they do not support the N900 at this point in time" .

Does anyone know the settings that would work for the N900 on Orange.

Cheers

Orange in my neighbourhood has been a bit iffy today (nothing unusual, I live in the arse end of nowhere). My settings are:

Connection name; Orange
type; Packet data
apn; orangeinternet
user name <leave blank>
Password <leave blank>

Advanced: Proxies -none
IP addresses and dns set to auto-retrieve

You could switch off, remove the sim and then retry. Could be the seating or just something fankled (I've had to do this once in 3 months). I even put the sim in another phone to check it was ok - that seemed to resolve it.
