Hi guys a little help would be appreciated ive had my N900 for about a month now sim free and ive been considering getting rid of it. Now before you all lash out at me hear me out. I also have an iphone 3gs ive had this for 8 months and its a cool phone once its jail breaked but it lacked flash which was a big pain for me because of the website i like to frequent needing flash to work properly any way that was my reason for getting the n900. it is good and has potential but the flash ontill 10.1 is still limited im of the opinion. & with reports ive read that flash 10.1 wont come im struggling to see a point in keeping it when i know that flash was my main reason for buying it. so convince me please why should i keep it thank you.

What sites do you require flash 10 for?
Can you post a link to one that doesn't work with flash 9?

Although, if you are even having to ask, then you should just get rid and keep the iphone. Everyone will be happier.

i do like the phone dont get me wrong its great but its web sites with video thats giving me the headache example bbci player or catchup tv to name 2 but the only youtube seems to work well. i know 10.1 would have sorted this. but i know there is a work around for bbci player but its other sites that i wanted to be able to view the videos and the iphone being wack at this prompted my n900 purchace

Ok, not to be rude, but if you're looking for someone else to justify you spending your money on a phone, you should send it back. I think if you got your n900 and didnt fall in love with it when you turned it on and first fondled it, then the phone isnt for you. Yeah you got the people who fell in love with the "potential" of the phone but when i first turned it on and used Maemo 5 on the N900, i was hooked. Period.

Sell it if you don't need/use it. Wait another six months and buy a flash 10 enabled device. The End.

But where did you see those reports that says that Flash 10.1 won't come to the N900.. The fact that it got demoed on an N900 proves that it will come.. but it takes time..

Before you send your deivce back, you might like to try the procedure outlined here. I can recoomend it, and assure you it's absolutely n00b-watertight (as in, if I can follow those instruction, anyone can).

It isn't a 'quick and easy' solution, such as flash 10 will bring, (if/when we get it) but it enables viewing.

Nice pointer Kathy but there some sites that refuse point blank unless they detect 'the latest ersion of flash'. Not exactly a sensible design or implimentation but I do get what the OP is talking about.

The real shame is that the N900 lead the field a few months ago and now it is trailing some of the other platforms. It would be nice to know why the release is taking so long.
