I'm really hoping one of the things to be announced is a libspotify version for linux on ARM processors, because that could mean a semi official way for us to get a spotify client on N900. If the library also introduces support for supports offline playlists it'd be perfect.

No such luck. Seems they expanded to intel 64bit support and OSX, still no arm version of the library.
