I thought this made interesting reading:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/05..._html5_survey/

I would be interested to know the details behind this article, and whether the companies who are turning towards html5 content over flash are just ones that either have been approached by apple or are just big enough to be able to implement it on the calculated gamble that the iPad really takes off.

What do you think?

Cheers

HTML5 is going to be the new standard for interactive content on the web. Yes flash is on it's way out.

And it's really upsetting that HTML5 is seen by most as a pro/anti-Apple thing. This has little to do with Apple, HTML5 just happens to be Jobs' excuse for keeping Flash off the iShinies.

My enemys enemy is my friend, so I hope HTML5 gains alot more traction. HTML5 is the more open format after all (also, I'm not a fan of the battery drain flash causes on my n800).
I can't predict anything, I'm just hoping.

I would agree that Flash is on it's way out, imo it's been heading that way ever since Adobe took it over.
