I don't have a problem getting a GPS lock - just a few seconds to get good accuracy.
It's the Location Widget that doesn't work. Takes a minute (time-out I guess) to give the message 'Unable to download map data'

Maybe I'm being dumb, but what's supl.google got to do with the widget getting map data?
Mine never works, always says unable to download map data. Have tried this stood out in the middle of the road on a clear day and still no joy. I am assuming correctly that it works via the GPS?
