I checked today and the Ovi store finally has an Angry Birds level pack available to buy! YES!!!

But.

When I went to pay, the credit card payment page was clearly designed for the USA. I have to fill in my state and a 5-digit zip code, neither of which I have, since I live in the Netherlands. My account is set with the proper country, so this is quite annoying.

Has anyone outside of the US been able to buy anything from the Ovi store? Perhaps someone in Finland?

Yesterday I bought something with my VISA card from the OVI store. It worked flawlessly here in France, and I wasn't asked any US-specific questions.

Ah, okay I think I understand.

I was using a VPN to my company, which is based in California.

I turned it off, and now there are no games to buy at all.

It appears that the store is doing some kind of decision based on where it thinks you are coming from, which is China for me right now.

This is incredibly annoying. It means I cannot use the store at all when I am traveling.

Well done, Nokia. Well done.

I think the creator of the app can decide into which countries he wants to sell.
