I'm trying to promote the katana package to extras-testing, but get the following error:

Can not continue promotion, because dependency package swig1.3 is a user section package and needs to be promoted first!
This seems wrong, since swig is a python package, and katana uses no python (it's a C++ Qt 4.6 application.)

Can anyone help me?

The control file specifies the following packages as dependencies:

Depends: ${shlibs:Depends}, ${misc:Depends}, libqt4-core, libqt4-gui, libqt4-maemo5, sword16

Isn't this correct?

It seems suspicious that "sword" and "swig" both start with the same two letters, as if the package promotion program isn't looking up the dependencies properly...

I don't think that that's what it is, since the error message has now changed from swig to ruby-1.8.

Update: when I removed the libqt4-maemo5 dependency, I was able to promote the package.

Resurrect:

I'm trying to promote my package to testing, but I seem to be only getting the 'Promote Package' link for the i386 version, NOT the armel

What's happening?
