Have you tried loading it on and playing it?

N900 does not support a video file with a resolution greater than 848x480 afaik. You can get mplayer to play it after resizing but as it doesn't use the DSP, it plays at around 2fps at best. Totally unwatchable. So the only way to play 720P video is to transcode/re-encode the file from your PC to a smaller resolution video.

What is DSP?If I have to re-encode it in which video format should I re-encode?And what about the audio format (the mkv file has Ac3-DTS)?

p.s.:Can you tell me to download a good video converter, because I don't have one?

The DSP is the chip responsible for all the media decoding for video and audio, it is mush faster than the cpu at that kind of task but programs have to be made to take advantage of it otherwise everything is handled by the CPU which has other tasks to handle.

Encode at 848x480 or lower resolution. Use xvid codec if you want sure results.
For 1 pass encoding, I would recommend at least 1000kbps for good quality results.
Use MP3 128kbps or higher for audio. I personally just use constant bitrate.

These are super generic guidelines. Try to experiment if you want.
