I have a few month old n900 and so far have been working without problems. Did the latest update few weeks ago, haven't installed any new software last few days.

It was working yesterday but the screen lock seemed a bit strange (normally it goes automatically to the phone lock after 5 minutes but yesterday it would only lock the screen) Couple of hours later tried to unlock the screen and nothing was happening, so I presumed the battery had died (even though it was charged few hours prior and haven't used the phone, but presumed maybe the screen unlocked in my bag and drained the battery)

Went home, tried to turn it on - the white light came on for a short time but nothing happened. Charged the phone, tried again - nothing, not even a white light, absolutely nothing is happening (got no message that it is charging, etc)
Though maybe charger is broken so plugged the phone in the laptop to try charge it this way - again nothing is happening.

I'm starting to slowly freak out! Any help is appreciated as I'm not sure what to do next. Thank you!

Mine has done something similar and for me it helps to remove the battery for a short while and plug it back in.

Happened to me as well, removing the battery and plugging it back in solved the problem for me too.

It happened again - taking the battery out for a bit helped again.

Both times the phone run out of battery previously - wonder if it is a bug, surely I'm not expected to remove the battery so often?!
(never had to do it for any of the laptops )
