Hi guys, i'm quite new here but i've had my n900 about 5 months now and i've come up with an idea for (hopefully) someone to develop into an app. i've tried to post in brainstorm but its asking me to log in but says invalid everytime i try?? whats the deal? I'm sure i'm doing something wrong so step by step would be appreciated to direct my post into the right place. I've read the "read before you post" bit in brainstorm but it makes no sense to me. Anyhoo, hope someone understands my confusion and can help.

I could be wrong on this, but I think it needs your maemo.org credentials, rather than the forum ones.

I'm not certain of the details, but I think it's because t.m.o. was originally a different site altogether. If you got to maemo.org and register there, you can use those credentials for Brainstorm, the wiki, etc.

Yes, as I understand it, it takes time for the Garage registration to propagate.

so i have a neat idea... something thats been on my mind for weeks and then i find the brainstorm section and think GREAT! Maybe someone there, a developer might take on the idea, but for god sake why is it so difficult to use? i've registered (again) to have full access and be a part of this place and finally posted my idea only now its nowhere to be seen apart from in my proposals, and isn't searchable niether. Can someone please explain to me in plain flipping english how to use the brainstorm section? And explain the proccess of an idea turning into something people may use? I'm getting a bit cheesed off with this place now. Its just too confusing?

http://wiki.maemo.org/Brainstorm

You have to create a separate login under garage.maemo.org if you haven't done so already (I know, it's stupid IMO). After that though it's pretty straightforward.
