Had same problem.
'Connection Error' kept coming up on 1 particular number but could make and recieve other calls and had full reception.

So I delete the number from my contacts and resaved it.
Worked straight away after that!?
Not sure why or if this really was the true solution.

i really appriciate this phone but i believe nokia just sold me the best hardware but no good OS and left the maemo community to fix it by them selves.... i just hope the next upgrade fixes this basic calling/reciving problem.. which is the most essential thing !

n900s cellular signal is not that powerful and has been discussed multiple times in the past in multiple threads. there are some who are looking to provide antennae with more power for this same issue. i can tell from my own experience that N900 will loose the signal where my old 6301 still has and its on same netwrok and same place and if i do loose signal in some part of the town 6301 will catch the signal and stay put, whereas n900 will not have a signal for almost 5-10 minutes. it was not that horrible with my original n900 but starting to see this issue when i got my replacement from nokia and ofcourse at the same time pr1.2 came out.
would love to see an improvement on this issue from nokia in distance future.

i dont mean to sound selfish but am glad am not the only one facing this problem!
zikmir, i am from dubai and travel there quite often but surprisingly i never faced this problem there even though my N900 was with a singapore sim card and was on roaming!! infact this problem only escalated arnd march onwards and then became a major issue for me that i had to make a thread on it!

ofcourse another problem is that there no stable msn client for it which can linked from the conversations inbox. the most decent way is pidggen but i dnt care much for its layout.
