my daughter just sent me a link to an online newspaper story from her iphone.

Is there a way to do this from n900?

Just copy the text from the address bar and paste it into either an email or SMS message.

yeah, while in browser click on the address bar and then on the keyboard press CTRL + A, this will highlight the link. Then on the keyboard press CTRL + C to copy it. Now you can paste it in email, sms or whatever by simply pressing CTRL + V

It may sound complicated by how I said it, but it is very simple... to me at least

thats great! have been trying to copy and paste for ages and after reading this perservered and hadnt realised you have to press the keys together........ was pressing one after the other and getting really annoyed!

Yeah, you got to love the lack of consistancy in how the keyboard behaves.
Ctrl A is bad enough, imagine if it was Ctrl Q !

To make life a little easier:
Type about:config in the address bar,
then tsa in the filter bar,
then finaly set browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll to true
This will make selecting the complete url much easier as touching the url in the address bar will select it all, no Ctrl A 'ing.
