You can call me a fanboi but I would go with the Nokia. I've used Samsungs (x497,T509, T519,U600, G600, D900, D900i, Katalyst, Behold), Motorolas( V188, V635, V3, ZN5) and a G1 and I find that I consistently have a better experience with Nokia devices.
From the monchrome screen candybars of yore to the 5160, 5230, 5800, 6133, 6290, 7370, N75, N78, N97 and N900 I've had outstanding luck with durability, reception, TX/RX audio quality and just plain old "fun to use".
I've got an N8 on pre-order and can hardly wait to see what Symbian^3 has to offer.
I'll probably sell the N8 to buy the N9.This is based on my past experience of really liking what Nokia devices do and how they do it. The other brands always seemed to be lacking in features, ability to customize, or find out basic information about the device.

I never buy my phone based on brand. Say what you want about Nokia but there are cellphone manufacturers out there doing bigger and better things. Though Nokia does make good products don't ever buy phones just because there from brand name or another.

As you can see from my post I've tried using other brands over several years. I never found a really good fit with the other phones. That doesn't mean I won't in the future but for now I'll keep going back to the well until I find I don't like how the water is tasting.

Well I have used Nokia's in the past and they are pretty good, but I have found devices HTC and Samsung to be just as good if not better in some ways. There are cellphone manufacturers that I avoid at all cost such as Motorola, Apple, Palm, HP, and Research in Motion. As for design build quality I have found that HTC devices are very well designed and built really well. I had a Motorola Razr v3 and its call quality was absolute crap. I also avoid Motorola's because they crap on every phone they make (phones which aren't very good to begin with).

I would go with the N9 for a couple reason, most basic: bigger screen, better camera, more storage. I have been emailing some guys at nokia begging for more details that are solid but as far as I can tell the N9 will be the first smart phone with 64g of hd space, The n9 will also have hdmi out the g2 will not, I would go with meego over android even though Google will give its official stamp with the g2 they are coming out with so many android phones you can buy the g2 and next week a g3 or similar device comes out with everything the G2 has but with 2 or 3 better must have features. I feel meego will...wait could be better if the community grows and the apps eventually get there. The N9 has a TRUE tilt keyboard meaning it will have the net book like feel, the G2 has more of a hoover out or slide keyboard, I think the G2 keyboard looks better but the design function of the N9 looks better, G2 has 4g but thats limited to region, and Im sure one of us geeks can tweak the N9 so its at least capable of reaching 4g speeds, and most of all the N9 should be like the n900 which means it will be completely open source meaning we can do just about anything on this device
OK before I start this I will give the source of my info is here http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/...know/?news=123 and here http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/19/n...ilds-of-china/ . By now we know what both devices looks like what the software and operating system of each device looks like. Both devices have a tilting screen and four row qwerty keyboard. We also know the T-Mobile G2 has a 3.7 inch wvga(800x480) capacitive touchscreen and Nokia n9 4 inch but we don't know if the screen is wvga(800x480) or nhd(640x360) but the screen is capacitive. The T-Mobile G2 We know that Nokia n9 has an 8mp camera with dual led flash but we don't camera the T-Mobile G2 is. The T-Mobile G2 runs on Android 2.2 without HTC Sense and Nokia n9 runs on MeeGo 1.0 with Nokia software skin and enhancements. T-Mobile G2 has the Qualcomm scorpion MSM7230 and processor of the Nokia n9 is unknown some think it is a 1ghz Arm cortex A8 and other think it is a 1ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon. T-Mobile confimed that the G2 will 4g through hspa+ and the device has the standard wifi, bluetooth, and Gps and other connectivity is unknown. The Nokia n9 has the standard wifi, bluetooth, and GPS. Both devices can record and playback 720p HD video. Storage capacity of both devices is unknown some say the Nokia n9 will 64gb of storage others say it won't. So based on everything we know about devices which seems better this is just open ended question. In my opinion I would go for the G2 because it has 4g (through hspa+) and has overall better design. I would get the Nokia n9 because it would be the first MeeGo device. Again feel free to answer.
