Hey guys, I usually use two profiles for OC

600Mhz or 900Mhz

the 600Mhz is the default
should I use LV, ULV, XLV or ideal

the 900Mhz is when I need performance
should I use LV, ULV, XLV or ideal

I have read all of those manuals..

I just need to know what the LV, ULV, XLV or ideal can help with.

i know it's the voltage used but what are the good and bad points for each?

well try all of it where your phone is most stable, mine works perfectly on xlv but having video problems on ulv so its up to you to experiment not all n900 is the same.

lower voltage=less battery drain
lower voltage=can make your phone unstable

you can also test out yourself the limits of your phone by locking in certain voltages and clock speeds. it might be a bit tedious but by doing this you can find the ideal voltage limits and clocks for your own custom setting.
