Okay guys I need help with this, everything is going well untill i get an error.

I go like this

Sudo gainroot-
Nitdroid-
I accept the agreement -YES-
unmounting /dev/mmcblk1 ...DONE
unistalling any incompatible software ...FAILURE. Bailing out

/home/user #

what to do? Do i have to download any files?

first , install:
http://downloads.nitdroid.com/nitins....2.7_armel.deb
and then in xterm as root type nitdroid and press enter

The link in post #3 is the new version of autoinstaller that doesnt have balling out problem

Unable to install that file:
Missing packages: Rootsh 1.8 i have 1.5, multiboot-kernel-maemo:S

What to do

in terminal type

root
apt-get update

after this it should show update in app manager for rootsh
update it. restart the phone.
re run nitdroid in xterminal.

from my under standing its because you need Rootsh 1.8 but you have 1.5 which is an old version!

Guys lol...i did that, okay...

Unistalling any incompatible software ...DONE
formating /dev/mmcblk1p1 (vfat) ...DONE
formating /dev/mmcblk1p2 (ext3) ...
And it hangs on that
I tried to partition following the guide but i keep getting an error message

traling junk after number
sfdisk:bad input

I get some table of numbers

trailing junk after numbers

apt-get install --reinstall nitdroid-installer
Then install the attached installer copy it to ur N900 and install it via appman or dpkg it, appman recommended.
