Everything else is fine though...

What country and mobile operator is your sim card from? In Poland, using Play operator's sim card sending and receiving messages works out of the box in UMay, no need to change anything...

Anyway, I guess you have some ofono0xx_oril0yy.tar.bz2 package? You should mount your android partition on /and under maemo (so if you installed it on sd, probably "mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and" run as root or, if you installed it on emmc probably "mount /dev/mmcblk0p4 /and" or similar) and extract contents of this .tar.bz2 to /and. You should probably change the file /and/system/bin/ofonod and the file /and/system/lib/libofono-ril.so (these two are responsible for ofono and ofono-ril in NITDroid AFAIK).

Edit: Btw, where did you get the file from? I can't see anything new on NITDroid forums?

IT's a .bin file which I got from the e-yes directory from downloads. Nitdroid.com

I've tried pasting it into the /and/system folder using Astro fiile manager but that didn't work..

http://downloads.nitdroid.com/e-yes/...ril008.tar.bz2 - this one? It's upgrade for U11, not U12 Please see http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?board=2.0 - there are links to files grouped in threads by NITDroid release. The link to ofono047_ril008 is in thread for N11 "Vostok", you can see for yourself Generally if any update is released, e-yes announes it http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?board=2.0 in appropriate thread or creates new one (if he releases something big like new NITDroid release) Files in his download directory are a little bit messed up, as they are for all NIDroid releases in one directory.

No problem
Remember the correct order:
- mounting partition as /and
- removing previous /and contents
- extracting tar.gz with all files to /and
- installing the kernel (NITDroid partition must still be mounted as /and this is important, because the .deb file with NITDroid kernel installs some files to /and)
- unmounting /and
- rebooting and checking if it works

Good luck

P.S. Really, what country are you from and what's your mobile operator? Try searching and posting it in http://forum.nitdroid.com , maybe others have similar problems and found a solution
