hey i flashed my n900 and installed a previous backup that i made from backup menu. after restoring my phone doesnt start. it gets stuck at the bright nokia screen and the switches off. i wanted to reflash again but it does not get connected to my pc. i cannot flash it. and it shows strange red led light when connect it to pc. my cmd says
C:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5>flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.

it means that i got connected wihle pressing the u key but then its again not found. please please help my n900 is not working at all

the phone usually boots up then flashes the emmc
otherwise flash the firmware then emmc.. see if it helps

i think this is because the backup is like a month or two old and as robbie said it is not supported with the new version of backup menu. so can anyone please give me the old backup menu's deb file so that i can restore tha backup like i did a month back? cause i really need the bakcup

yes i actually managed to do it after flashing rootfs first then emmc. but can anyone tell me about the backup problem mentioned in my last post?

sorry to hi jack ur thread bro. but i was wondering is there a way to get my files from my bricked n900 without reflashing it? my phone is still under warranty and im planning on claming the warranty from nokia. so i dont want to touch anything else because im a total noob. and i just got this phone 2 weeks ago. so i dont want to mess things up further. i just want to get the videos and photos of my son. because i have captured many priceless moments whith him using this phone. any help would be appreciated. thanks. and again sorry bro for hi jacking ur thread. i just dont know where to put this. hope we solve our problems!

i finally figured out how to make a thread. but oh well more exposure is better. hehe. so up! i hope somebody can answer our problems. thanks!

u might be able to find it in the repos itself
i dunno but try to google it.. or look for it in the home page, find the app.. and look for its prev. versions or repo..
